Mr Toby Pollard-Smith
Before training as an Osteopath, Toby was a professional ballet dancer, working with The Israel Ballet for several years, and subsequently completing two world tours with Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake. He has had his fair share of injuries and was always interested in treatment and rehab. In 2008, he decided to switch careers, training at the British School of Osteopathy (now the University College of Osteopathy), from where he graduated in 2014 with distinction. He has also completed his sports massage training at the London School of Sports Massage.
He currently works in Ascot, Berkshire, where he treats patients of all ages and from all backgrounds. He happily tackles all injuries from head to toe, and enjoys finding the correct package of management for his patients. Toby has a particular interest in looking after performers and dancers, and has had dance-based research published in the Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies. As well as being a registered practitioner with BAPAM, he is listed on OneDance’s Directory of Practitioners and is a member of the Osteopathic Performing Arts Care Association (OPACA).
