Biography

Hi, my name is Shauna and I am a HCPC and CSP registered physiotherapist with a particular interest in supporting musicians and performers. My clinical interests include vocal and jaw health, dizziness and balance problems, musculoskeletal injuries, persistent pain and injury prevention.

I have experience working with musicians, singers, dancers, actors and other performers across the UK and Australia. I have worked with musical theatre performers at Crown Theatre Perth, including Wicked and Jesus Christ Superstar, as well as performers from Strictly Come Dancing and Circus WA. I have also provided physiotherapy clinics and education sessions for musicians and performers at music festivals, including Sound of Belfast.

My approach is evidence based, individualised and practical, with treatment tailored to what you need and what you want to get back to doing. This may include hands-on treatment, rehabilitation exercises, movement advice and education.

Alongside my physiotherapy career, I am a professional musician, songwriter and composer in the pop/rock industry, with many years of experience performing and touring internationally. This gives me a personal understanding of the physical demands of rehearsing, recording, performing and touring, and the importance of staying healthy while continuing to work creatively.
