I am a BACP registered person-centred counsellor, working only with performing artists. I have been a freelance singer and singing
teacher for over 20 years and, after finding therapy vital in helping overcome blocks to my development as a performer, I decided to
train as a counsellor.
I have had my own experience of the various difficulties and insecurities of life as a performing artist, and am personally aware
of how the industry has changed and is changing. Maybe you’re feeling stuck in a pattern of behaviour, or feel like you’re always giving, both at work and at home, with no space or energy for yourself. Perhaps you’ve been wondering whether you have the personal stamina to stay on this career path you’ve worked so hard for, or feel the passion that once drove you has gone.
I see therapy as a collaboration between counsellor and client, working together towards a way forward that works for you. I will be alongside you, accepting you as you are, listening in a way you might not have experienced before, so you can feel less alone in
what you’re going through.
I offer therapy online and know how life as a freelance performing artist can mean the need for flexibility.
