Biography
Life can be challenging, and sometimes things can feel overwhelming. In my private practice, I support young people aged 8–24 who are experiencing anxiety, low mood, the impact of trauma, or difficulties connected to their experiences growing up in care.
I also support young people working in the arts and entertainment industries, who may experience unique pressures around performance, identity, appearance, public scrutiny, rejection, and balancing their personal and professional lives.
My professional background includes working within NHS and Local Authority services, supporting children, young people and families with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties. My academic and professional training has included psychological therapies, educational psychology, attachment, and play therapy, including supporting children with complex needs and disabilities.
Depending on what you are experiencing, therapy may include:
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – helpful for anxiety, low mood and a range of emotional difficulties.
  • Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT) – supporting young people to process and recover from difficult or traumatic experiences.
  • CBiT (Comprehensive Behavioural Intervention for Tics) – helping young people understand and manage tic disorders.
  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) – particularly helpful for trauma and other common mental health difficulties.
  • Parent-led CBT – where parents receive support and guidance to help their child, without the young person necessarily attending sessions.
  • Parent support alongside therapy – when this would be helpful as part of a young person’s treatment plan.
There are many challenges facing young people today, and you don't have to work through them alone.
I believe that you are the expert in your own life. My role is to listen, understand what is happening for you and work alongside you to develop strategies that feel realistic and useful in your everyday life.
Together, we can explore what is getting in the way, understand how your thoughts, feelings and experiences are connected, and build the skills and confidence to help you manage difficult moments.
I believe everyone has the potential for positive wellbeing and to live a fulfilling life. Together, we can explore what that looks like for you.
