I’m Beth Shum (she/her), a Chartered Physiotherapist (HCPC. MCSP) and Performing Arts Medicine specialist (MSc), and I believe performers shouldn't have to navigate injuries, pain with uncertainty, or feel dismissed by professionals who don’t understand their demands.
Being an ex-gymnast, Flexibility Matters Physiotherapy was born from firsthand experience with the injuries and frustrations of looking for specialist care for performers. Performers deserve care that meets you with clarity, structure, and belief in your return to performing.
I've trained in acupuncture, integrated movements method, acceptance and commitment therapy, aerial yoga & yoga therapy, and I integrate these treatment methods into our holistic patients' care. After your session, we provide you with the tools, knowledge and confidence you need to keep doing things that matter to you, especially after injury or living with a long-term pain condition.
