I am a highly experienced consultant plastic and hand surgeon based in Cambridge, specialising in hand surgery, nerve injuries of the upper limb and skin surgery. I provide expert care for adults, helping patients restore hand function, mobility and confidence after injuries, degenerative conditions, or skin concerns, drawing on my precision and dexterity to achieve the best outcomes in complex cases.

Across my practice, I manage approximately 1,600 clinic appointments each year and perform or supervise over 600 surgical procedures annually. I am a carpal tunnel specialist in Cambridge, performing over 140 carpal tunnel releases each year, almost all using the WALANT (wide-awake local anaesthetic no tourniquet) technique. I also carry out around 44 Dupuytren’s contracture surgeries annually, with about 90% of private sector cases performed under the WALANT technique.

I treat a wide range of hand and wrist conditions, including carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, Dupuytren’s contracture, arthritis and tendon injuries. I also provide advanced care for serious hand and upper limb trauma as part of the plastic and hand surgery team at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, assisting patients in recovering from complex injuries. In addition, I specialise in skin and soft tissue surgery, managing moles, cysts, lipomas, warts and skin cancers, including basal cell carcinoma and other malignant lesions.

My expertise has been recognised by national media outlets, including the BBC and ITV, reflecting my reputation for clinical excellence.

Alongside my clinical practice, I am actively involved in surgical education and research, serving as a by-Fellow and Tutor at Hughes Hall, Cambridge University, a former Honorary Lecturer at University College London, and a member of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers, Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. I have also received the Cambridge University Clinical School Excellent Teaching Award and am an approved tutor for the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH) and the University of Manchester Diploma in Hand Surgery, supporting the development of future hand surgeons.

Committed to patient-centred care, I ensure that every patient receives personalised treatment tailored to their condition and goals. I see adult patients for a broad range of hand, nerve, and skin conditions, providing expertise, compassion, and the latest surgical techniques in Cambridge and at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

Alongside my surgical practice, I am an actively performing pianist, giving me a personal understanding of the physical demands on musicians’ hands and the impact of injury on performance.
