A few of BAPAM’s clinicians have been featured in a new series of Healthy Performer films put together by The Healthy Conservatoires Network (HCN). The organisation which aims to support environments that promote and enhance the health and wellbeing of performing artists have launched a new resources section of their website. It includes information about Research in Performers’ Health, as well as interviews with BAPAM assessing clinicians who discussed the Specialist Support available for Performers, plus there’s BAPAM Guidance for Healthy Performance on the site too.

Our clinicians featured include GP Dr Tamara Karni Cohen and Specialist Physiotherapist Dr Sarah Upjohn

The section on Guidance for Healthy Performance includes best practice guidance on subjects like Hearing Conservation for Performers. This particular document was developed by BAPAM at the request of the Healthy Conservatoires Network, with the aim to establish an effective hearing conservation strategy.
