Participants are being sought to take part in a research study looking at the prevalence of substance use amongst working musicians. Anyone interested in taking part is being asked to fill in a questionnaire. The study forms part of PhD student Jeordie Shenton’s Doctoral Research project titled “Substance Use Amongst Working Musicians”, which he is doing at Goldsmiths in London.

The questionnaire will look at substance use from a few angles, for example in comparison to other music industry professionals and the general population. Plus contributory factors of substance use amongst working musicians in the form of personality, musicality and childhood experiences.
