BAPAM’s free face to face clinics around the UK are back up and running. Work or study in the performing arts and have a health problem impacting your practice? We can help.

BAPAM provides free, expert clinical advice to musicians, actors, dancers, creative practitioners, performing arts teachers and technicians with health problems affecting their work. Our clinicians are highly qualified in their field and have a deep understanding of health needs in creative careers. BAPAM clinics enable accurate diagnosis and advice, and help people navigate an effective care pathway to overcome problems quickly and safely.

We can advise patients from anywhere in the UK online or by telephone. Face to face clinical consultations are available in Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Gateshead, Liverpool, London and Manchester.

We are Help Musicians’ clinical partner for the Emerging Musicians’ Health Scheme (music performance students can apply for funding for specialist health care) and Music Minds Matter (musicians, including students, can access free counselling and psychotherapy provided by BAPAM). We work with Equity providing support to members through the Equity Mental Health Support Scheme and we provide funded counselling for dancers and choreographers in partnership with Dance Professionals Fund.

BAPAM (British Association for Performing Arts Medicine) is a medical charity and CQC-regulated healthcare provider funded by performing arts organisations including Help Musicians, the MU, Equity, Equity Charitable Trust, PPL, PRS Members’ Fund and Dance Professionals Fund.

We also deliver a wide range of free healthy practice webinars sharing essential knowledge to help prevent health problems and sustain creativity. Topics include physical health, mental health, vocal health and hearing health.
