October's CPD invites different speakers from PAMA 2026 to share their presentations
PAMA 2026 took place in New York City in July. This annual symposium was this year co-chaired by BAPAM’s Medical Director Dr Finola Ryan and included a rich all-round programme on all PAM disciplines. This edition of BAPAM CPD will bring you a selection of the presentations from this important PAM annual event. The session will explore perspective and research in PAM in voice, hearing, music and dance and is an excellent way to stay up to date with research and expertise in the area. This is a chance for all to have a taste of the international scene, with presenters from the PAMA 2026 symposium and to consider future projects and participation ahead of the 2027 PAMA symposium in Manchester, UK on 15-18 July (abstract submissions for which, are open now).

BAPAM’s expert-led training events are ideal for healthcare and education practitioners working in the performing arts who wish to deepen their understanding and enhance their skills. We explore research, evidence and practice to treat and prevent common and complex health problems specific to artists, creators and performance professionals. We share knowledge and invite discussion on key topics in current performing arts medicine practice. Our approach is multidisciplinary: physiological and psychological care for healthy and sustainable creative practice.
Online sessions are held on the last Wednesday of the month from 7pm BST. Most sessions are recorded for ticket holders who cannot attend on the day (please check the event description).
