A busy season is about to begin…

The Wellbeing Series for Actors and Stage Management Professionals is Back and this time, we’re ready for the festive season.

Many of you will already be well into preparing for festive shows, pantomimes and touring. Now is the time to take stock and consider your wellbeing, protecting your health in this busy period, and knowing where to go if you need support.

Actors’ Trust and BAPAM have curated a special edition of the Wellbeing Series to tackle many of the issues actors and stage management professionals face during this period.

Vocal Health

Managing Stress & Burnout

Sleep in the Performing Arts

ADHD & Neurodiversity

Isolation, Connection and the Performing Arts

Cool Downs – Stepping Out of Work

People with neurodivergent traits (diagnosed and undiagnosed) can find themselves with challenges at work. Without support and understanding, it can be hard to communicate your needs. And if the people around you don’t understand your approach, you can feel lost and isolated.

This session of the Wellbeing Series presented by Actors’ Trust and BAPAM will explore how actors and stage management professionals can better understand their own and others needs at work when it comes to ADHD and neurodiversity.

Vocal health and performance coach Lucy Heyman will guide us in this session for actors and stage management professionals.

Topics covered include:

  • Understanding ADHD and neurodiversity
  • Navigating creative careers as a neurodivergent person
  • Support, strategies and shared experiences
  • Space for reflection and questions

Actors’ Trust (which used to be known as the Actors’ Benevolent Fund) is here to provide a place of community and support for actors and stage management through our range of grants and wellbeing services.

We’ve been supporting industry professionals across sound, stage and screen since 1882. Today, we continue to make the greatest possible difference to a community that brings so much meaning and inspiration to others.

Whether you are in need of help or would like to support us, we are here and would love to hear from you.
