Hello, I’m Kitty Lester and I’m a Contemporary Psychotherapist and a Sex & Relationship Therapist.
How I Work:
Therapy is a deep, transformative process that facilitates recovery, growth and healing. Contemporary Psychotherapy is a pluralistic outcome-oriented approach. In simple terms, this means that I blend different therapeutic approaches to tailor sessions for each of my clients.
Qualifications:
I trained at the BeeLeaf Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and have a Diploma in Psychology from UCL. Additionally, I have a specialist Diploma in psychosexual and relationship therapy, through the Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology.
Experience:
I have experience working with addiction and trauma, having worked in a drug & alcohol recovery service and with young people in the Criminal Justice System. I have NHS experience, having worked as a Trainee Psychosexual Therapist at Homerton Hospital in London.
Professional Memberships:
Psychotherapy is a deeply ethical profession and all appropriately qualified therapists are bound by the Code of Ethics of their accrediting organisation. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT) and adhere to their Code of Ethics.
Background:
I have a professional background in the music industry, having worked as a publicist for 15 years before qualifying as a therapist, so I understand the challenges that come from working in the highly pressurised music industry.
