Hi, I’m Sara سارا

I'm a Gestalt Counsellor (MBACP) working in Shoreditch (EC2A) and online. You may be reaching out because you're feeling unfulfilled, experiencing anxiety, depression or have a vague feeling something isn't feel right. You may be wanting support through a repetitive strain injury, performance anxiety or exploring your identity and belonging. I'm here to support you to gain more awareness towards a more happy, vibrant and meaningful life.

For me, therapy is a moment to explore what is and isn’t working for you, how and what that feels like and how that gets played out in scenarios and relationships. This changes people, their relationships and their environment.

I hold a space offering more awareness, making sense of your experience and needs together. I do also bring supportive challenges in sessions offering you to 'try out' what you could really say, gestures.. etc

Some examples of what people bring to therapy:

· You may be experiencing anxiety, depression, have low self-esteem, or finding yourself in unfulfilling, similar scenarios/relationships

· Identity, belonging, culture conflicts

· You may be wanting support with family/relationship issues (past and present)

· Support and exploration of a performance injury / repetitive strain

· Performance stress and anxiety

· Something that is challenging that's showing up or upcoming

· You may feel something is holding you back

· Have a general feeling something isn't right

I believe our behaviour, thoughts and feelings hold important information about how we navigate in the world and what we are needing more of and what we needed then. When you are aware of how and what that is about you have more choice.

How I work: I work in a Gestalt modality, which means I attentively focus on your immediate experience whilst working with you (this also includes memories and experiences that come up about your past). I believe our experience in our body is important information about how we really are (especially if there is no feeling). Exploring how and what shows up can show direct glimmers into our experience which then allows potential change. I also have an interest in social structures and dynamics and oppressive systems, how we uphold them and feel importance in naming and engaging with these topics in sessions.

I am experienced in working somatically using creative experiments with pillows, objects, chairs, pens and paper and voice to allow more expression.
