Hi, I’m Sara سارا

I'm a Gestalt Counsellor (MBACP) working in Shoreditch (EC2A) and online. I work with adults who learned to cope by pleasing, pushing, or performing, and who now feel disconnected from their instincts, their bodies, or their relationships. You may be reaching out if you:

- Feel stuck in familiar or unfulfilling relationships

- Experience shame, low self-esteem, anxiety, or persistent stress

- Notice body symptoms, tension, or pain that doesn’t make “full” sense

- Struggle to trust your instincts or know what you need

- A change in work or how you perform

My approach is collaborative, exploratory, with an emphasis on supporting meaningful change. We’ll work with whatever feels most relevant for you – whether that’s something happening now, a recurring pattern, or a sense that’s difficult to put into words. As we explore together, I may invite gentle attention to thoughts, feelings and bodily responses if and when that feels helpful. We’ll also look at how long-standing patterns once made sense, and what they may have been responding to at the time. This can lead to relationships that feel more authentic and less effortful, reduced self-criticism and shame with greater trust in your instincts. I work somatically and creatively, and at times may suggest using objects, pillows, paper or voice when things feel stuck. These ways of working are always optional and guided by what feels helpful for you. I also offer pyscho-education where useful, especially around trauma, stress and the mind-body connection. My practice is anti-oppressive and identity conscious. Alongside my counselling training, I have a professional background as a singer and experience in working in high-performance, stress environments. This informs my sensitivity to performance pressure, the body and nervous system.
