Natalie Watson is a fellowship-trained Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon and Laryngologist, delivering expert care within both the NHS and private sector. She practices at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust - where she leads multiple specialist multidisciplinary voice clinics, including a dedicated clinic for professional voice users -and at her private practice in London.

Natalie manages a comprehensive range of conditions including voice disorders, chronic cough, obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA), airway issues, persistent throat discomfort, and swallowing difficulties. She works closely with a team of allied health professionals to deliver individualised care and advanced diagnostics, including vocal health assessments and in-clinic video laryngostroboscopy.

As a former professional soloist and voice-over artist, Natalie has an understanding of the physical and emotional demands placed on the professional voice. This dual expertise informs her tailored, empathetic approach to managing voice disorders in singers, actors, and other voice professionals.

Natalie is also a speaker and educator, serving as an invited lecturer at prestigious institutions, such as, the Royal College of Music and King’s College London, where she also completed a Master’s in Clinical Education. She plays a leading role in training and education, including serving on the faculty of the London Phonosurgery Course and contributing to in-office and laser laryngology training programmes.

Natalie has presented her research and clinical innovations at major conferences around the world. Her accolades include the Jelf Medal from King’s College London, the Rowena Ryan Paper Knife Award for Teaching, the Van Lawrence Prize from the British Voice Association for research, and the Guy’s and St Thomas’ “Act with Integrity” award for clinical excellence. She also received the Royal Society of Chemistry Faraday Horizon Prize for her pivotal role in the PERFORM project, helping to safely return performers to stage and screen during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Natalie Watson has authored and co-authored numerous publications in the field of laryngology and voice, and currently serves as Secretary of the British Laryngological Association (BLA). She is also the BLA’s Media and Communications Officer and host of the BLA podcast. Additionally, she sits on the Media and Communications Committee of the European Laryngological Society and is the ENT representative on BAPAM’s Vocal Health Working Group
