Maintaining professional boundaries in any small community may be difficult and the performing arts is no exception. Often, people you are seeing you may have a relationship with outside of clinical settings.
This CPD will look at maintaining and navigating boundaries and relationships in musculoskeletal and psychosocial health care.
Facilitated by two experienced practitioners, this CPD will look at some of the limits in the clinician/patient relationship, ensuring patient safety and protecting clinicians.
This CPD will be a structured discussion based around case studies looking at:
- Over identifying or over familiarisation
- The risk associated with working in a niche industry
- Communication style and consent
- Backgrounds
- Confidentiality

We share knowledge and invite discussion on key topics in current performing arts medicine practice. Our approach is multidisciplinary: physiological and psychological care for healthy and sustainable creative practice.
Online sessions are held on the last Wednesday of the month from 7pm BST. Most sessions are recorded for ticket holders who cannot attend on the day (please check the event description).
