Mrs Amy Louise Ogden
Amy has an avid interest in how presbyopia (the normal loss of near focusing ability that occurs with age) affects a musician’s ability to play and perform. Musicians have a wide range of eyesight needs e.g. they may need to see the top of the guitar neck to the sound hole, their set list, fellow players, a conductor, audience. Different focal lengths are assessed and a suitable prescription provided. Amy also advises clients with contrast Sensitivity, macula degeneration and has a special interest in the perceptual processing disorder, Meares-Irlen Syndrome.
