Our Community Drop In is hosted and facilitated by BAPAM GP, Dr Pippa Wheble, who specialises in performance and mental health and is also a violinist and singer.

In the Performing Arts, whether you are a soloist, group or company, there is always room to optimise mental, emotional and physical resilience and wellbeing. Getting these areas boosted and balanced will result in healthy high performance, creativity and productivity.

This talk will help you understand the five pillars of resilience and how they contribute to your overall resilience. We will delve into the Energy Pillar so you will know how to identify issues and then build this foundational pillar, which is the engine that runs the rest of the pillars. This way you can improve your own mental, emotional and physical resilience, which in turn will help you to manage and navigate the challenging career of the performing artist.

Guest Speaker: Line Hilton MSc PAM, B.Mus Ed (Jazz), C. Hyp, MHFA

Many great performers and creatives are passionate, talented and hard working but lack the confidence to really go for their dreams. By bringing together a unique set of skills, qualifications and experience Line uses a holistic approach to help performers and creatives unravel their mindset tangles, build resilience, hone their craft and access their creator space so the they can achieve career success and creative freedom.

Line’s bigger mission is to support, raise awareness and instil higher standards of vocal, mental and physical health and wellbeing for performing artists in the music industry. |
