- We provide free confidential health-assessment clinics in London, Bath, Birmingham, Cardiff, Dublin, Glasgow and Manchester, and the list is growing all the time. The volunteer doctors who deliver our assessment clinics have specialist expertise in performing arts medicine and many of them are performers (or ex-performers) themselves. They bring a vital experience and understanding that helps them get to the root of a performing-related problem. Find out about BAPAM's free confidential health-assessment clinics.
- Our extensive Directory of performing arts health practitioners and specialists covers the three broad areas of performers' health problems:
- musculoskeletal (muscles, joints, posture problems)
- ear, nose and throat (vocal problems, hearing loss or tinnitus)
- psychosocial (stage fright, addictions)
- Our health resources help you to understand what you can do to keep in peak condition, even though the demands of being a performer sometimes make this difficult. For example, we can suggest ways you can look after yourself when on tour; how to maintain a work-life balance that is so important to ensure you are your best when on stage.
